Week 14
Reflection of the FID programme:
Throughout this year, I am very honoured to have such amazing groupmates and teachers. Even though I will be applying for Graphic Design degree to study overseas, it has been nice being able to study in Taylors. This contextual studies course started out with a lot of theories and history which indeed is what we need to learn before stepping into the design world. I believe that we have benefited the most from learning that communication is the most important thing when it comes to group work. We should always speak up our ideas and know how to convey a message without hurting other people’s feelings. Sometimes teammates may not be there or do not provide any help or ideas but the leaders who guide us and bring us together are really important. I have learnt that in any difficult situation, the best cure is to keep calm and have a steady mind. We should be able to handle the stress when many assignments are due and have preparation beforehand. I think our video assignment was a success because everyone put their hearts into making it come alive. I love filming but as I love to draw, I would like to learn more about graphic design. Graphic design combines art with the advertising industry and in this era everything has been digitalized. In the future, I can see myself as someone who knows just how to catch the attention of the audience and see my artwork all over the internet as a communication tool. Thank you.
